16 X 20 Framed Oil Upper Twin Lake — California captures the beauty of the Eastern Sierra as autumn begins to transform the landscape. Brilliant golden fall foliage lines the shoreline, glowing against the deep greens of the surrounding pines and the cool turquoise water of the lake.
The rugged mountain peaks rise dramatically in the distance beneath a clear blue sky, while reflections on the water bring a sense of quiet and stillness to the scene. I especially wanted to capture the contrast of the warm fall colors against the cool blues and greens of the lake and mountains—one of those fleeting moments when the Eastern Sierra is at its most beautiful.
